During the year the first graders will be studying these topics in Science:

• living and non-living things
• weather
• tools
• sound
• states of matter
• life cycles

In social studies we will be studying:

• Maps/directions
• U.S. Symbols

We will also work on completing Engineering Design Challenges as part of our STEM unit (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
